He has published a number of studies such as the role of big data, mobile, and online technologies in trafficking and migration. In 2018, Latonero will be embarking on a project on digital identity technologies for migrants in Italy. He has led field research in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Greece, Haiti, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and other countries.Currently, he leads the data and human rights program at the Data & Society Research Institute in New York and is a senior fellow at the USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership & Policy and Leiden University. Previously he was a professor and research director at USC where he led the Technology and Human Trafficking Initiative. Dr. Latonero completed his Ph.D at University of Southern California and was a postdoctoral scholar at the London School of Economics.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
