Laura Bartolini is Data Analyst and DTM Focal Point at the Coordination Office for the Mediterranean of the International Organization for Migration in Italy.
She coordinates the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) operations in the country, researching on migrants’ vulnerabilities to exploitation and human trafficking along the Central Mediterranean route and on the interconnections between the type of travel and the specific protection needs of migrants in transit. She has previously worked as Research Associate at the European University Institute (2011-2016), FIERI and Lab. Revelli. She holds an MSc’s degree in Development Economics (University of Florence) and a Master’s in Public Policy (Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin).
