From 15 to 17 October 2026, Fermo will host “Workers – Stories of Everyday Exploitation”, a travelling, interactive installation produced by Lule Onlus and the FavolaFolle theatre company as part of the anti–human trafficking project “Mettiamo le Ali – Dall’emersioneServizi di emersione I servizi di emersione hanno l’obiettivo di facilitare l’identificazione precoce e l’aggancio di target vulnerabili, favorendo la loro emersione da condizioni di marginalità e/o fragilità, attraverso l’implementazione di interventi basati sull’outreaching, la riduzione del danno e/o dei rischi. Esempi di servizi di emersione sono le unità mobili e gli sportelli a bassa soglia. all’integrazione” (Let’s Spread Our Wings – From Emergence to Integration), funded by the Dipartimento per le Pari Opportunità, designed to raise public awareness of severe labour exploitation.

The Fermo stop, promoted by the Marche Region together with the On the Road social cooperative, forms part of the cultural activities of the S.O.L.E.I.L. Project – Services for Employment Guidance and Interregional Legal EmpowermentEmpowerment L’empowerment, in italiano “potenziamento”, rappresenta un modello di servizio sociale attivo che consente a persone, organizzazioni, comunità, di valorizzare le proprie abilità e individuare risorse aggiuntive in sé stesse, nel proprio gruppo o nel proprio ambiente sociale, al fine di migliorare proattivamente l’equità e la qualità della propria vita. “Workers” is an interactive multimedia installation made up of ten stations through which visitors can explore, modify and create content, learning about and deepening their understanding of human trafficking and severe labour exploitation. It is an immersive experience in which visitors, accompanied by anti‑trafficking operators from the On the Road cooperative, will come into direct contact with stories of new and real forms of slavery, fostering a deep and empathetic understanding of the phenomenon. Through a blend of visual, sound and innovative elements, the work tells stories of exploitation, but also of strength, courage and hope. It is a journey that brings to light a reality that is often invisible, created with the aim of stimulating reflection and awareness.

The Marche Region – through the Department for Social Policies, Labour, Education and Training – is a partner in the S.O.L.E.I.L. project (Services for Employment Guidance and Interregional Legal Empowerment for a Legal System), funded by the European Social Fund – PN Inclusion and the Fight against Poverty 2021–2027 (CUP B72B21000130001). S.O.L.E.I.L. is dedicated to implementing and managing targeted interventions for the social, health, housing and labour integration of nationals from non‑EU countries who are victims or potential victims of labour exploitation. It involves five regions in central Italy – Lazio (lead partner), Abruzzo, Tuscany, Molise and Marche – which share similar territorial and socio‑economic characteristics. The objective is to develop a coordinated interregional action to combat irregular work and labour exploitation, particularly in the agriculture, logistics, construction, domestic work and manufacturing sectors. The project also aims to strengthen multi‑level governance and define an integrated intervention model through collaboration between institutions and local stakeholders (regions, municipalities, local health authorities, police headquarters, prefectures and the third sector).
