R. Evon Idahosa, Esq. is the founder and Executive Director of Pathfinders Justice Initiative, Inc. (www.pathfindersji.org), a NGO working in Nigeria to eradicate sex trafficking and the sexual exploitation of women and girls. She is a Nigerian native and both an English Barrister and U.S. attorney. Ms. Idahosa is a leading expert on the subject of modern day slavery in sub-Saharan Africa and a published writer and speaker whose voice amplifies the voices of thousands of young women and girls via Pathfinders’ campaigns, including its #Not4Sale Campaign, which has assisted hundreds of survivors of sex trafficking and rape in Nigeria.
Ms. Idahosa also serves as a trainer/facilitator and lends her expertise as an advisor/consultant to organizations, state national and international governments on the issues of sex trafficking and gender based violence. Also an activist, she has appeared on multiple radio and television news outlets, including CNN, CNNi, BBC, Al Jazeera, CCTV America, NBC and Sirius XM Radio, and has been named one of New York’s New Abolitionists (www.newyorksnewabolitionists.com). Through Pathfinders, she advocates for the return of the missing Chibok Girls of Nigeria and other gender related causes. She has been recognized in Nigeria for her efforts in seeking an end to gender based violence in the developing world, is a 2017 Vital Voices GFE Fellow and a 2016 United States White House United State of Women “Nominated Changemaker”.
