Anti-Trafficking Expert

Between 1995 and 2016, Claudio Donadel was the project manager of the interventions on prostitution and human trafficking for the Municipality of Venice. In 2006 and 2007 he was a member of the Inter-ministerial Commission for the implementation of Article 18 of the Immigration Law and, between 2007 and 2013, a member of the Inter-ministerial Commission for the support of victims of trafficking, violence, and exploitation, both sitting at the Italian Department for Equal Opportunities. He was a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the EU-funded projects STOP FOR-BEG – AgainST emerging fOrms of trafficking in Italy: exPloited immigrants in the international phenomenon of FORced BEGgging and TEMVI – Trafficked and Exploited Minors between Vulnerability and Illegality. He is the author of “Le politiche e il sistema della protezione sociale in Italia, tra sfide e criticità” in Punto e a capo sulla tratta. Uno studio sulle forme di sfruttamento di esseri umani e sul sistema degli interventi a tutela delle vittime (2014); and co-author of Movimenti migratori e nuove vulnerabilità. Scenari di Politiche Pubbliche (with P. Degani, 2011) and of La prostituzione invisibile (with E.R. Martini, 2005).
