We are extremely pleased to inform you that for the second year in a row, the UNCHR, the UN Refugee Agency, has decided to award our Cooperative the WeWelcome logo for the year 2020-2021. On the Road is honoured to receive this award in recognition of our commitment to promoting specific interventions to assist refugees in finding employment.

Established by UNHCR, the WeWelcome – working for refugee integration award is now in its fourth edition for the Welcome logo (large, small and medium-sized enterprises) and in its second edition for the WeWelcome logo (civil society organisations). In addition to growing in terms of participation by companies, the award has expanded in terms of goals and purposes, representing not just a logo but also a program for inclusion that allows various stakeholdersStakeholder Lo Stakeholder, o portatore d’interesse, rappresenta una persona, organizzazione, comunità che, direttamente o indirettamente influenza o viene influenzata da un’organizzazione e dalle attività da essa implementate.’ expertise to complement and support one another. We have been working for years as a Cooperative to support and guide those who, after fleeing their countries due to wars, human rights violations, or persecution, decide to start a new life in Italy, while respecting their personal plans and interests, and assuring their work integration. Without the willingness and trust we have built with the companies in our areas of interest over the years, our work in job placement for refugees would not be possible. With this synergy, two companies whose candidatures were overseen by On the Road were awarded the Welcome logo: ITTICA M&G sas of San Benedetto del Tronto and OFFICINE BRUNI of Offida.

As a result of this second achievement, we are able to recognize the commitment, perseverance, and trust that the social workers, the refugees as well as the whole system of companies we work with, put in place daily.

For this reason, On the Road and the above-mentioned companies will participate in the award ceremony to take place in Rome on June 13 in a public event that can also be viewed online.
